Pete Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Amazingly I am in my conferences finals without any RBs. Here are my choices- Fred Taylor vs Indy Greg Jones vs Indy Antwain Smith vs Atlanta Chris Perry vs Cleveland Ryan Moats vs Giants I know I am screwed at RB- just looking for some points. Which two? The Tomcat Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) Greg Jones... ohhh...I see Taylor may be back this week.....I don't know....I guess your screwed! F. Taylor *** (Jac - RB) P Ind Colt have the speed to contain him plus he's no lock to play just yet C. Perry *** (Cin - RB) Cle Good week to take a flyer as garbage time carries likely A. Smith *** (NO - RB) @Atl Pretty decent matchup vs weak run defense if you're desperate G. Jones ** (Jac - RB) Ind Should have a role but not worth using if Taylor plays R. Moats ** (Phi - RB) NYG He should get the most touches but tough matchup PER YAHOO....Good luck....I think I'd go with Smith if theres not a clear cut starter for Jacksonville... Johnny Coli Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I'm starting Greg Jones, as well. You're pretty set there, because you could go with Taylor or Jones if you stay up to date on the news. Jones is the beter bet, because I don't think Taylor will finish the game. You could roll the dice with your other RBs, but I'd go with Moats because I think Westbrook is out. I'm benching Stephen Davis and putting in Mo Hicks. Someone talk me out of it. Quote

The veteran running back will handle the majority of the carries, as regular backup Frank Gore is also sidelined with injury. Advice: In nine games this season, Hicks has 113 yards and one touchdown on 17 rushes, as well as four catches for 21 yards. He could be a decent sleeper pick facing a questionable Cardinals defense. Dec 5 Davis was in the Panthers' starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Atlanta Falcons, but he picked up just eight yards on five carries before giving way to DeShaun Foster, who handled the bulk of the rushing load the rest of the contest. After averaging 17.7 carries and scoring 12 touchdowns over his first nine games of the season, the veteran running back has rushed just 16 times with no scores over his last three games combined. Advice: The Panthers will continue to split carries between the two backs, but it appears they are now more comfortable with Foster getting the majority of the work. Davis could get the call in short-yardage/goal-line situations, but the player with the most value in Carolina's backfield currently is Foster. In 12 games this season, Davis has 526 yards and 12 TDs on 176 carries. Cant say either way....Hicks maybe a sleeper but Davis may get goal line...good luck Quote
