Mularkey was a little slick in his press conference when he said Moulds was excused from practice. Does it mean:

 

1) We don't want you at practice, your excused, so don't bother showing up Thursday and Friday

 

or

 

2) We want you at practice, but given the situation you're excused if you don't come.

 

I think it means number 1, but he's trying to make it sound like Eric has a choice in the matter when he really doesn't. Can Eric practice Thursday and Friday if he wants to?
