sweet baboo Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 when was the last time Buffalo got a safety and went on to win the game? the super bowl comes up and i seem to remember them blowing it some other time after getting a safety the thought crossed my mind that the cursed safety would cause us to lose, but being up 23-3, i quickly disregarded the idea
DC Mom Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I thought I remember it being a game against the Texans in 2003 where that happened.
sweet baboo Posted December 5, 2005 Author Posted December 5, 2005 i recall bledsoe allowing the texans to beat us one year...not sure if it was 03 or 04
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Didn't we get one vs the Jets at home last year that kinda sealed the win?
JCBoston Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 i recall bledsoe allowing the texans to beat us one year...not sure if it was 03 or 04 521312[/snapback] We lost that game, too. I don't think we've ever won a game in which we've scored a safety. Can anyone find out?
BRH Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Phil Hansen dropped Barry Sanders in the end zone for a safety at the Ralph in 1997 or thereabouts, and it basically won the game, or at least iced it. Now, as for safeties on quarterbacks, I have no idea.
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=241107002 Like I said, last years Jets game at home. Check the 4th quarter scoring recap.
2003Contenders Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I remember us losing to the Chiefs in KC a couple of years ago -- a game in which a punt was blocked through the endzone. I also remember losing to the Rams (another horrible melt-down) back in 1998 after Big Ted destroyed their RB for a safety.
Catholic Guilt Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 We also had a safety against New England in Foxboro back in the late 90's. Mike Lodish if I remember corectly.
