obie_wan Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Why in the hell would you risk that? That's absurd IMO. Take what you need this time Buffalo, not who happens to be there. 520732 I wasn't aware that the Bills needed an overrated, inexperienced QB with a huge contract. What they do need is a lot of help on their OL, DL, LB, WR & secondary. The smart move is to trade the pick and the headaches and risk in exchange for multiple players

If the new GM (hey, I can dream, right?) feels the line talent willb e available later, then do it.
Spiderweb Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 The Bills would be wise to trade down and pick up extra picks. This roster has more holes than swiss cheese, needing upgrades at multiple positions. Instead of 4 first day draft picks, give youself 5 and inject some talent into this roster. Try and find 1 OL and a Vet WR in FA. The Bills will be carrying a large dead cap hit by cutting Williams, Moulds and a few other vets. Lets be realistic about the roster upgrade. Hopefully, a new front office will be calling the shots. 520581 Ah, reason.......If we do end up with a high enough 1st rounder, and other teams have players targeted that they feel are must picks, then we've got a shot at trading down to get an extra pick. That's not automatic though as we witnessed with our selection of Mike Williams. It's been said that when the Bills went on the clock for the 4th overall pick, the phone never rang. Also, high first rounders will bite you in the but $$$$ wise, ala Mike Wiliams. Even if he was playing well, a 10 mil cap hit is huge. Best bet is to trade down (hopefully not too far though) and pick up an extra pick.

JoeY H was gone and so was TEflon's draft strategy.

We should have started Bryson at QB if we needed to for our last 5 games.
