Ghost of BiB Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Wasn't this supposed to be a "Power Running Team"? Were that the case, they should have been able to run for a TD when everyone in the world knew they were going to do it. Oh, wait...one needs a line for that, right? Tricky stupid plays get called, because they (and the opposition) KNOW they can't get 5 yards in the red zone.

plenzmd1 Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Actually I thought the INT was a nice play but I didn't think it was a game-ender, because our sluggish offense still needed a first down, and I knew Miami would move the ball if they got it back. But I never would've dreamed they'd call a run on 3rd and 9 or 10 when a first down would win the game. I was a fan of this coaching staff for quite a while, but outside of Bobby April and maybe Sam Wyche I wouldn't mind seeing them gone tomorrow. 520557 MM totally reversed how he should have called third down plays. The series before was third and 6, about 3.45 on the clock and JP thorws a long sideline pattern that goes incomplete, stopping the clock. Granted, little chance of a pick there, but also little chance of a completion stooping the clock. A run there may have eaten up another 35 seconds, or least forced Miami to use a timeout. Now that third down after the Schobel pick, 2:11 left on the clock. Incompletion there and you are only giving them one extra play
obie_wan Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 He called the Pass, and it should be his ass on the Unemployment Line tomorrow AM... 519610 maybe he should have hd Roscoe Parrish throw the ball instead
