buckeyemike
Wow. What a game that was last night. The Zips and their kangaroo mascot (Zippy) are headed to the Motor City Bowl on December 26 after the 31-30 come from behind win over Northern Illinois. Link to Akron Beacon Journal. There's more than one story there. New slogan? Fear The Roo. I've always liked the Akron Zips...the U of Akron was the first to accept me into law school (I wound up at Cleveland State), so that means a lot to me. Chilly
I watched that game, and it was pretty fun. The ending to the game was amazing. Grats Zits! (er Zips)

buckeyemike
That was fun. I hope UB comes around, it is a fun division to watch. 518070[/snapback] Me too. UB just needs to find the Reggie Witherspoon equivalent among football coaches. If Akron can win, I think it lends hope to UB in the future. billsfanmiami(oh)
UB has a LONG way to go before they can compete with the stronger programs of the MAC.

I remember Gill was in the Indians' farm system in the late 80s. That's right, he also played baseball (got as high as AA, I believe).
