Alaska Darin
Nobody wants a piece of the Bears in the playoffs. 513810 The biggest problem with playing them is even if you beat them you're going to be REALLY banged up the following week. They're everything our defense should be.
MDH
How about them Chicago Bears? Those Bears are for real Maybe THEY are the BEST team in the NFC right now? 513799 They have the best single unit in the NFL with their D and they can run the ball on just about anybody even if they stack the line. That's a combination for wins in the playoffs. If Orton doesn't make the big mistakes I'd say they're likely to beat anybody in the NFC come playoff time. Mikie2times
And even though it is Orton's team, Grossman is now back in the fold if needed. 513838 I know the record with Orton, but he is running a watered down offense and has basically not messed up enough to cost them games. That defense is phenomenal, and approaching the class of the great Baltimore defense years ago. Call me crazy for messing with chemistry, but Rex played well when he played, and can make all the throws. Put him in and have him run the same watered down offense. He's more capable and seasoned QB then Orton, and with that ground game, and defense, could make them NFC favorites.
zow2
The Bears had a great D & special teams a few years ago and won their division. They promptly were destroyed at home in the 1st round. This Bears team is similar and will not win in the playoffs. They just don't have enough O.

Couple that with their D in January and they can win in the playoffs.

Since they keep winning people think he is protecting the ball and letting the defense and ground game win, but he's not even doing that well. He's thrown 11 INT's, which is around the bottom of the league in that category. Grossman has already played in more games then Orton, and has shown more in the games he's played. You add a decent passing attack to that team and they're a legit threat to win the Super Bowl.

That is going to help them out as well.

Orton's kinda typical for a 1st-year starter - 50% completions.
ch19079
the bears are overrated. they have a good D, but no offense. they wont go far in the playoffs. their schedule: Washington L Detroit W Bengals L Browns W Vikings W Ravens W Detroit W Saints W 49ers W Carolina W Tampa W of all those games, the only good teams they have beaten are carolina and tampa. and can you tell why they have not given up many TDs? its because the teams they play have no offense. I hear that about JAX, CIN, IND, etc. And last year, when the Bills were beating the "lowly", that was glossed over by many. Schedules are set up long in advance - many factors come into the decisions. It's impossible to do otherwise. And give credit for a club beating a team they are "supposed to beat" - especially on the road. The Bill's mastery of the supposedly weaker NFC has come crashing down this season - 0 and 4. You take what is in front of you...good for you if you win. Bad for you if you don't.

The Bears have come out and shown others what they are all about. Defense wins championships. Regardless of who they've played, they continue to come out and do their job and most importantly, win.
