Mikie2times Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Man, I like Clements a lot, when he is on his game. But, seriously, he has had at least two horrendous games this year, against the Raiders and the Chargers. I also thought he was sub-par against the Saints. These were all road games, so this might be indicitve of another, bigger problem, not Clements specifically. His intensity seems to waiver at times, but he is still the best DB we have, and likely the best player on the defense... 513210[/snapback] By design Nate is usually locked up one on one with the teams best WR. He is going to lose some battles under these circumstances. Elite corners get the most difficult assignments, and all of them fail on given plays or games. Nate has certainly had his fair share of miscues, but like I said before he is still the best CB we've had in 15 years or so. By reading this thread you would think he was some bum we can replace with a FA fill in. I bet he shuts Steve Smith down tomorrow.
