Spiderweb Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 OJ SImpson could be our new running backs coach! And any player wo doesn't listen to Coach Simpson gets...errrr, cut! PTR 510170 He would only keep RB's that ran with a "slashing" style.
TheMadCap Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 According to Bill Belichick, Kelly couldn't read a defense to save his life and that is why the Giants won Super 25. 509500 The giants won that game because our defense was on the field all day and couldn't tackle...
Wacka Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Marv is 80 or 81. He has a much younger nice looking wife. I think he would rather be spending his time with her instead of coaching now.
Ramius Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Why not? It's worked well in Detroit with Matt Millen... 510144 or miami and Dan Marino...
The Dean Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Talk Jim Kelly into becoming our new Offensive Coordinator. ..and no, this isn't one of those posts about hiring him as OC, bringing back Marv, hiring Tasker as ST coach, etc, etc... He knows football X's and O's, especially on the O side. He was basically an on field OC running the no huddle. He would be a great coach for a young QB like JP. Plus, and a big one, he has the stones to get this ship righted. Think we'd have an identity then? I always thought Kelly would go into coaching at one point..why not here? Come on Ralph, pick up the phone...... 509479 This is a dynamic new idea that demonstrates out-of-the-box thinking. I'm shocked no one has thought of/posted this before...SHOCKED, I say!
dib Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Hmmmm, I'm thinking winning out would do a lot for fan support
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Well, no it isn't. If Kelly ever decided to go into coaching I believe he has the intangibles to be a good one, including knowledge of the X's and O's...509497 That's an intangible?
Alaska Darin Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Norwood missed because Kelly couldn't read a defense? Please. 509529 Newsflash: If the offense had played to its potential in that game there isn't a last second FG to miss.
Ramius Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Norwood missed because Kelly couldn't read a defense? Please. 509529 Of course. Norwood made reed drop passes, made the D miss tackles, made the bills hand off to thurman only 15 times...its the same way that last sunday, josh reed made our defense give up 48 points...
The Dean Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Newsflash: If the offense had played to its potential in that game there isn't a last second FG to miss. 510435 Replace "offense" with "defense" and we have a winner here. In truth both units played well...to a point. But, the D folded in the crunch.
wnyguy Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 That's an intangible? 510352 Well you have to admit that it would be a refreshing change from what we have now. Knowing X's and O's, I mean.
