There can be decent players who are a step behind NFL standards. Perhaps they don't have all the skill and speed but can at least leave a fan with a sense of "they tried". See Coy Wire, for example. Skills? Not a lot. Heart and b*lls? Yep. Don't leave slack players off the hook. Nor exonerate the staff for letting it get that way. It's both...
