Buffalo's highest-paid player, Williams now appears among the leading draft busts of the 21st century. So is Bills management a bunch of idiots for blowing such a high pick on Williams? (Roy Williams, John Henderson, Dwight Freeney and Jeremy Shockey are blue-chippers taken shortly after.) Or is Bills management a bunch of geniuses for finding Peters, a who-dat who had a terrific game Sunday? Here's the problem I have: the great majority of his problems stem from a lack of desire. He doesn't care about being a good football player, rather he is more concerned with cashing his weekly checks. Now that's an attitude problem. If any organization (sports, corporate, whatever) is going to make a $50+ million on an individual, it is the responsibility of that organization to perform a thorough background analysis and character assessment. One can only wonder if those mental issues would have been apparent had more research been done. PTR 505299[/snapback] And he's absolutely right. Again, every GM makes mistakes; good GM's are able to acknowledge their mistakes, cut their losses, and move on. We'll see what TD does this off-season, I believe he'll do the right thing.

Do you KNOW Mike personally? What gives people the impression that he just wants to cash a check? Because his mind wasn't into the game during training camp last season after a close relative passed away? If that's it, it's a pretty weak argument. I swear that people on this board like to make stuff up about players they know nothing about. CW

These guys sweat out 12 months in the year......There are many reasons why a player is a bust...he did not fit the team philosophy.....having a OL coach every year in his 1st 3 years of his career....having a different coaching system in 2 years.... I am not giving excuses for this players failure...but to call him to be only interested in cashing his checks is a little overboard.

Wow, you really built the team! All of your draft picks still on the roster? You really know how to draft! You cut all of your draft picks and have a bunch of UFA's starting? You really know how to find undiscovered talent! You just can't lose.

And yet people still f---up and get fired. People are so quick to say " a good GM ought to know this stuff" but how the f**k do you know? What test? Who do you talk to? What method is there that absolutely guarentees 100% you will never pick the wrong guy? If you know, tell us. PTR

One of them is starting at RT, and one of them is on the bench, Works for me. In the end, we have a starting RT, so does it really matter which is which?
