MadBuffaloDisease
If he is going to be the future LT, then why not play him at LT now...I don'tsee the point of him playing RT and then moving to LT next year. The two are different beasts. As another answer to this, let me direct you to Chris Brown's blog: http://buffalobills.com/blog/?topic_id=11 After posing the question to Mike Mularkey as to why they chose to move Mike Williams to guard instead of Mike Gandy who has experience there, he brought up a very salient point. While he did mention that Gandy's strong play at tackle was a factor he also said the staff knew if they moved Gandy inside to left guard and put Jason Peters at left tackle that would be two players in new positions on the left side. Gandy in relaying line calls to Peters might not be as sharp at guard being new to the spot in this system. However if Peters stays on the right side he has a veteran guard in Villarrial that can walk him through those calls in the blink of an eye having been in that spot for the past year and a half. So really the only player that's in a new environment is Mike Williams. And when continuity is important the least amount of change is essential I'm guessing. So there you have it. Hopefully it all works smoothly on Sunday.
