Ramius Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 The above posts have said it all. Simpsons is one of the greatest show ever created. The endless references to everything, and the situational humor, and just how close it is to real life. Family guy is funny and good for laughs, but with the simpsons, there have been prolly hundreds of instances that something has happend in life that had happend on a simpsons episode. Cant say that about family guy.
The Dean Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 See My Vest Burns: Some men hunt for sport, Others hunt for food, The only thing I'm hunting for, Is an outfit that looks good... See my vest, see my vest, Made from real gorilla chest, Feel this sweater, there's no better, Than authentic Irish setter. See this hat, 'twas my cat, My evening wear - vampire bat, These white slippers are albino African endangered rhino. Grizzly bear underwear, Turtles' necks, I've got my share, Beret of poodle, on my noodle It shall rest, Try my red robin suit, It comes one breast or two, See my vest, see my vest, See my vest. Like my loafers? Former gophers - It was that or skin my chauffeurs, But a greyhound fur tuxedo Would be best, So let's prepare these dogs, Mrs. Potts: Kill two for matching clogs, Burns: See my vest, see my vest, Oh please, won't you see my vest.
Johnny Coli Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 There was a time when you knew you had hit the bigtime in entertainment if you were a character on the Simpsons. Freaking everybody was on that show at one time or another....Leonard Nimoy, Paul and Linda McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers...But perhaps the best was the Company Softball team episode when Burns hires all the major league players to be ringers. Awesome.
BB27 Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Any of the episodes that contained Sideshow Bob were priceless, and the old Treehouse of horror episodes were quite good. The baby sitter bandit episode was hillarious.

"It all started last year during a terrible thunderstorm, when I locked myself out of the house. Shelving myself with a large piece of sheet metal, I ran for cover under the tallest tree I could find!"

The first thing that pops into my head every time is "Dental Plan...Dental Plan."
Alaska Darin Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Anybody watched "Squidbillies" yet? Wrong as hell. Hysterically funny.
R. Rich Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Never saw a family guy episode that wasn't hilarious. 496437 I did.
JoeFerguson Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I always was partial to the Stonecutters episode.
Ned Flanders Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Granted, Simpsons is one of the all-time greatest, but I think it lost some its edge when Phil Hartman died and took two of the best cameo characters, Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz, with him.
Chilly Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I did. 498880 The only family guy episode that I didn't think was hilarious - funny, but not hilarious - was the "Wish upon a Weinstein" episode.
