PromoTheRobot Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Against all odds, the Buffalo Bills fough against long odds and tremendous hardship to reclaim 2nd place in the AFC East! Okay...an ex-Bill, Keion Carpenter picks off Ferrotte at the 5yd line and seals the 17-10 win for the Falcons. Meanwhile, Drew Brees just fumbled the ball back to the Jets on their own 30 with 3 minutes left. A Jets loss would be nice, but Miami losing was bigger. PTR
Pete Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Jets are driving and on the cusp of taking the lead with 2:41 left
Johnny Coli Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Jets are driving and on the cusp of taking the lead with 2:41 left 496293 They're rallying behind a young, inexperienced QB. What a shocker.
Fezmid Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 The Chargers hold on and deny the Jets. 53 seconds left, Jets with no TOs, game should be over. CW
PromoTheRobot Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 JETS LOSE! THEEEEEEEE JETS LOSE! Now having the Pats take one in the sphincter Monday would make my birthday weekend complete! PTR
Alaska Darin Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Nice play calling inside the 10, Herm. Prepare to be roasted in the NYC media all week. Again.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 Oakland comes back on the Chiefs with 1:45 left 23-20. KC looking awfully beatable. PTR

Pete Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 What a ballsy call by KC! Got to love playing for the win!
Johnny Coli Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Dick Vermiel has a set, don't he? Ballsy.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Hopefully the Pats get their asses kicked tomorrow night, and the Chefs have an "emotional letdown" next weekend after a big win/comeback over the Raiders.
Fezmid Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 What a ballsy call by KC! Got to love playing for the win! 496309 For those who didn't see it - with 5 seconds left, no TOs, ball on the 1, the Chiefs ran the ball up the gut for a TD instead of kicking for a tie. If he got stuffed, the game would've been over and they would've lost. Unfortunately, the Chiefs didn't cover the spread. It was 4.5, they won by 4 CW

MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 They're a much different team at home.
KD in CA Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Nice play calling inside the 10, Herm. Prepare to be roasted in the NYC media all week. Again. 496304 Nothing like being the pet peeve of the day for Mike and the Mad Dog!

It was 4.5, they won by 4 CW 496315 You nearly made it. Most of the Raiders bolted to the locker room and they barely managed to put some guys on the field to defend the PAT (I noticed Kerry Collins was one of them). If they had blown it off entirely, the Chiefs would have run it in for 2 and the cover.

I doubt they would've run up the score though. Heck, if the other teams' QB is on defense, isn't that a great reason to go for 2 - to nail the QB on the play? You can do whatever you want to him on the play - including taking a 15 yard penalty if you wanted. CW
