todd Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 If this attitude my McGahee is true, I'm quite disappointed. 1. The kid hasn't played a friggin down in the nfl. 2. We could never get trade value for him. 3. He's not 100%. 4. He's spouting off like a friggin stevestojan head Winslow, with nothing to back it up. 5. He's insulting TD, he's insulting Bills fans, and he's insulting the organization which has faith in him. 6. He's sounding like a friggin punk. If this is true, he should sit and learn his place. His place is on the bench right now, being grateful to learn behind a damn good back.
crackur Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 ah no matter what happens he will be seating as long as the bills want him too.......they own him LOL
txbillsjunkie Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 Fill me in,Todd....Sorry, I live in a cave and haven't heard about this.
jarthur31 Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 If true, he should be demoted to the 3rd back and made to "play" out his contract here. Let him wallow a bit and learn some humility. I don't think he ever wanted to be a Buffalo Bill!

I agree completely with the hypothetical you present. The reason this bothers a lot of us is because, if it's true, he represents one of the things that helps ruin this game. Not "ruin." That's probably the wrong word. Tarnishes, maybe. Look, I wonder...if professional football was created with a salary cap from day one, would the game be so revered? We're one of the few sports which gave nicknames not just to individual players (Juice, Bus, Neon) but actually and quite often to a group of men. Orange Crush. Steel Curtain. Electric Company. You don't hear those nicknames anymore, and part of the reason is because the cap prevents loyalty...which is fine. But look, for guys like me it takes some getting used to. Someone commented earlier this week that they "cheered for laundry," which was funny and I thought he really has a point. But you can't deny how great a group of men can be when they get to spend four, five years ALL together. And now, you rarely see full offensive and defensive lines or even backfields come back in tact from one year to the next. It's hard to deal with that for some of us. So when we are finally getting used to it, and then we hear someone yelling at the top of their lungs about me, me, me, me, my first reaction is "Punk. Shut the fug up." It's bad enough we know it's going on. Don't make us watch it. Please. Sorry ass Friday night, isn't it?
