Bruschi had 10 tackles Sunday in the Patriots' 21-16 win over Buffalo. He played nearly full-time in his first game since the Super Bowl. Other AFC players honored were Denver quarterback Jake Plummer (offense) and Houston's Jerome Mathis (special teams). The NFC players of the week were Tiki Barber of the New York Giants (offense); Charles Tillman of Chicago (defense) and Joe Nedney of San Francisco (special teams). But he's in there. For real. 493897[/snapback] It makes sense, Bruschi gets 2 tackles, 5 assist, 0 Sacks, 0 INT's and is named AFC player of the week. The NFC representative is Charles Tillman, he made 6 Tackles, 1 assist, 0 sacks,and had an INT returned for a touchdown in overtime. If awards are given for sentimental reasons why not give Willis the comeback player of the year award last year? I thought the actual NFL was better then ESPN, apparently not. Ramius Posted November 2, 2005 Share Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) Charles tillman (DB-Chi) had 6 tackles and the game winning INT return for a TD in OT... and he's the NFC POtW 3 other players (scored defensive TD's this week) 3 players (odell thurman, deltha oneal, rashean mathis) had 2 INT's this week Warren Sapp had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble 5 players had 10 tackles for real this week, and 2 of those players had a turnover (fumble recovery or INT) as well yet bruschi was better than all of them?
