I expect some responses such as, "why couldn't she just sit in another seat? What's the big deal?"...or..."This wasn't a racist thing, I cant believe she played the race card."...or..."When I ride the bus, all the Black kids sit at the back of the bus, anyway. What's so bad about the back of the bus?" Have at it, boys...
Spun
Try to imagine yourself in her situation on that bus. She had incredible courage.
OnTheRocks
it is too bad people like Sharpton and J. Jackson didn't follow her lead....rather than find the pot of gold at the end of the "Rainbow Coalition" and use the NAACP....and other such organizations that originally had good intent for their own motives to get rich. smokinandjokin
I heard this today and I have never heard it before; I was always under the impression that RP was sitting in the front of the bus and refused to move. I heard today that she was actually sitting in the back in the "black" section, but as the bus started filling up, a whitey wanted her seat. That's when she refused to give up her spot, and the bus driver wouldn't move until she did, and so she got arrested. Good for her. RIP RP

Guess you didn't learn much from Rosa's example huh? RIP to Ms. Parks.

Instead, you just look like an a$$.

So she's a hero for protesting the segregation (true), but we should just all live with random arrests, permanantly stored DNA, and useless patdowns since that's for our own good. Don't you? 486447[/snapback] It means that you are the only one that has typed anything along the line of the things you typed. How is your point being proven. Oh, that is right, your point is that you are an a$$. Rosa Parks accomplished a good thing. She marked her place in history. She was brave, and that is to be commended. Put your stones away!
