The Dean
Really, Jerry calls a spade a spade. He is has been dead on every time I read his articles. This is no exception. All of the Pollies, take off the rose colored glasses would ya, and leave Jerry alone. 485607 Jerry just knows NOTHING (OK...very little) about football. He supposedly knows basketball. Just reading his articles (even the few that aren't critical of the Bills) reveals he lacks a sense of the game...he just doesn't "get it". The LA Times also had a guy that didn't seem to understand (or even like) football and they made him their main NFL writer...TJ Simers. Asking a guy who doesn't really understand or enjoy a sport to write about it is kinda stoopid...dontcha think? It would be like having me be the reviewer for hip-hop or "alternative" rock. ..or asking Drew Bledsoe or Kelly Holcomb to win a game with his arm, under tremendous pressure while you have a perfectly capable running back to feed the ball to. Adam
Sullivan takes a lot of heat around here for being right. Poor Jerry - accurate, but unloved. Don't shoot the messenger! Just because he points out stuff you don't want to accept is no reason to dismiss him. 484962 Sullivan's job is not to be right- its to be abrasive- and there are a lot of newspaper guys hired to do just that
