Frez
Did it make a lot of sense drafting Roscoe Parrish with our 1st pick in the draft? Drafting a small WR/KR when we knew we needed help on the OL and DL really don't make a lot of sense to me. Was it correct for Tom Donahoe to draft a tweener with out first pick in the draft? That it was not correct was obvious...but this is the Age of the Supremely Self-Esteemed Hotpocket!

It was another arrogant call the fits only his selfserving egomaniacle mindset. If the bastard had any heard, he would resign today.

ch19079
well last season, reed was a bum. parrish was not only a punt returner, but a shifty, WR with speed. he was to be the #3 reciever (he beat out reed in camp) and help the offense. his injury allowed reed to start, and he has played well. but i dont think he will be resigned this offseason. we need a OG. Anderson has cost us a lot of yards in penaltys. and Williams cant stay healthy. but i think right now, we need a beast DT. a run stopper. adams is not getting younger, and T. Anderson has shown us NOTHING!!!

The two people we hated the most in the offseason are seemingly our two best players right now. I'm so confused... so very confused.

Frez
were there any OL available and worthy of that high a pick? 484879 Based on our needs at the OL, I'd say yes. We needed OL and DL before a tweener WR.

The Poojer
yeah sure but we would stoopid to overpay for someone not worthy of that high a pick, unfortunately winning is important, but the economics of winning are also very important. If there was no OL/DL prospect there that was worth a first round pick then don't do, it, now if we passed on some in the 2nd and 3rd that were a bit of a stretch then shame on us, We would crucify this admin if they spent top bucks on a 2nd 3rd rounder Based on our needs at the OL, I'd say yes. We needed OL and DL before a tweener WR. 484884

Ray
Would have to go back and see who was available at DL or OL. We needed a 3rd WR at that time so I wouldn't criticize that pick.

John from Riverside
I have NO problem with the drafting of Roscoe Parrish at that pick..... - At that point and time Josh Reed had looked like an absolute bust....and I am not sure we out of the woods yet with him......Parrish is a playmaker that can really take advantage of the middle of the field with his quickness....and JPL needs weapons. - I dont have a problem with the 2nd pick either. Everett looks like a real weapon as a TE and we have not had that for quite a while. Once again...our young QB needs guys who can get open. THE PROBLEM IS MIKE WILLIAMS.....this guy ties up so much of our cap that we cant make the line better through free agency....and in my philosophy if you are not going to draft solid OL then you need to get them through FA..... It is my sincere hope that this next offseason we do take care of this need....I like Preston at Center.....Gandy has a place on our line.....I dont hate Chris V. even though there is something wrong with him that nobody is talking about.... The Poojer
we passed on a guy who has yet to play for the ravens, and you want to draft a rookie LT to protect a "rookie" QB, I would personally say best athlete, then try to pick up a late rounder or through trades and waivers, not every trade or waiver works, especially for OL-men POOJ, the SU fan right? What about Adam Terry (LT) from SU, we passed on him. 484947
