The Dean Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Can you name them? Cleanest cities 482373 WOW! I just moved from #3 to #5. But, it's Reader's Digest...so I'd take it all with a big grain of salt. Still...Big ups to the Bufftown. Of course, I remember when Niagara Falls had all kinds of bad smells...was clearly an ecological mess...but there was an economy.
richjk21 Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 coulda told ya we were # 1 again, without even looking....
jayg Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 coulda told ya we were # 1 again, without even looking.... 482384 I love the Northwest in the summer.
erynthered Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Well, when 800K move away in the last 25 years, there's not much to clean up.
EndZoneCrew Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Well, when 800K move away in the last 25 years, there's not much to clean up. 482395 I don't get it
erynthered Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 I don't get it 482413 Start here Sue.
erynthered Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 482435 Cheap shot I know, But thats really a good place to start. I left Buffalo around that time. Not that I am or was part of the best and the brightest, but thats where Buffalo started to piss on its best and the brightest, 25 years ago.
Chef Jim Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 My mom showed me that when I was back this past summer. She's so proud of WNY. But I have a problem with an article that lists SF as number 5. There's parts of that city that are just a mess.
Taro T Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Yeah, but we all know WNY is a horrible place to live, so the survey must be fatally flawed.
GoodBye Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 coulda told ya we were # 1 again, without even looking.... 482384 Me too.
Chef Jim Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Yeah, but we all know WNY is a horrible place to live, so the survey must be fatally flawed. 482491 I'm not sure of the level or sarcasm in that post or even which way it goes. But after living in a few places outside of WNY, especially in Orange county in SoCal, WNY is a horrible place to live. But a wonderful place to visit.

I do think WNY is a good place to live. Taxes are too high and political leadership is nonexistant, but other than that; I like it. To each his own.
Fezmid Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Yeah, but we all know WNY is a horrible place to live, so the survey must be fatally flawed. 482491 I bet people in Buffalo were just voting for their city over and over and over to inflate the vote count. CW
NorCal Aaron Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 People have moved back into Love Canal, so it must be clean.
mtdoak Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 I don't know how proud Buffalo should be of this...the only real reason is that its so clean is that there aren't any major factories (aka 'Employers' or 'Commerce') in the area anymore.
