The Dean Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 He's a real no-nonsense coach! What the hell is that supposed to mean? As far as I can tell, it means, "He's a douchebag!" What I'd really like to know is, what's a "nonsense coach"? (I know..."Mike Mularkey"...save it!) That must be a football coach that uses baseballs and makes the OL line up backwards and then they all play duck-duck-goose. It would make for a good Monty Python skit, no? Then, of course there's the dreaded "Players' Coach" (Or is it "Player's Coach"?...I guess that's if only one guy likes him.) I sense that the Players' Coach is the opposite of a No-Nonsense coach. But, shouldn't there be Owner's Coaches and General Managers Coaches? (or Director of Player Personnel Coaches?) I think my favorite are the Groundskeepers' Coaches. "Dan is a real groundskeepers' coach Jim." "That's right Bill, the field always looks good when his team is finished with practice. The groundskeepers have a much easier time getting ready for game day. That takes real discipline, I tell ya." Yikes...it must be Friday afternoon. The Dean needs a cocktail!
Dan Gross Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Anybody ever tell you that you were a "no nonsense poster?" I didn't think so...
