merlin Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 According to Bill Simmons of espn.com, anytime Tommy Maddox "or any other quarterback of his ilk" is named the starting quarterback for a team he has picked to win, he wants a rule that automatically switches his pick to the other team. He then goes on to name the rest of the quarterbacks that fall into that category ... and JP is one of them ... The Tommy Maddox Corollary
shrader Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Bill Simmons is a hack. Why does his opinion matter?

CoachChuckDickerson Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Because JP has done so much to make him think otherwise. 482119 My thoughts exactly.
Johnny Coli Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Bill Simmons is a hack. Why does his opinion matter? 482108 I couldn't agree more. He hasn't been funny or original in years. If he dropped dead tomorrow, I would not shed a tear. Nay, I would welcome his death not as a loss, but as a gain.

shrader Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Because there'd be more food & air in Boston? 482161 He's out in LA now.
Johnny Coli Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 He's out in LA now. 482204 Nope. I'm still in Beantown.

Mark VI Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Simmons said he could now die happy, since the Sox won the series. What's he waiting for ? His Page2 ESPN stuff is always a bad read.

shrader Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Nope. I'm still in Beantown. 482217 I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not. I was talking about that assclown Simmons.

CT Bills Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Simmons is a horrible writter. The guy was fired from Jimmy Kimmel for not being funny enough. His weekly "football" article is never insightful. He spends more time "writing" about player's haircuts and uniform styles. (You know, stuff your girlfriend/wife talks about.)
