MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Since players who were placed on the PUP list can now start practicing, I wonder what the word on Kevin Everett is? I guess no news is NOT good news.
Bflojohn Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 He injured that knee at the end of April during the OTA's and it's been 6 months of rehabilitation, so I doubt that he is going to be activated while the Bills are on a winning streak and tied for first place. Since Euhus is now healthy, they are probably going to "Willis McGahee" Everett this year with high expectations next year! I do remember that a report also said that he suffered a "partial tear" of his ACL. Maybe he is ahead of schedule due to the possibility that the knee wasn't torn completely.... Better to save him than rush him in this instance! As a result, IR is his likely destination!
BillsCanada Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I'd agree that we should just IR him. Any chance of having his injury worsen is too much. Give him until next year to get healthy, and we'll be laughing!
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 20, 2005 Author Posted October 20, 2005 I agree. I thought they should have IR'd him from the beginning. But putting him on IR gave me hope that he could return. I just thought we'd read a piece on him by now.

My personal, fact-free opinion? Everett doesn't see the field this season...
Buffalo_Stampede Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 He is done for the season. It was said today by Mularkey, he isnt comming off the PUP list, either is Kevin Thomas.
inkman Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Thanks. Ah...closure. 481154 A deep recieving threat at tight end would have been perfect against Oaklands big, slow LB's.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 A deep recieving threat at tight end would have been perfect against Oaklands big, slow LB's. 481264 Not just the Raiders, but any Defense. A TE that can do what WR's do is the biggest weapon in the NFL, IMO. Its not a coincidence that SD got good when they got Gates, not when they got LT.
TigerJ Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 A deep recieving threat at tight end would have been perfect against Oaklands big, slow LB's. 481264 Except that coming back from an ACL injury he wouldn't have had his speed back for quite a while yet. He would have contributed next to nothing if Buffalo had tried to activate him this season. It would have been a waste of a roster space. Smart decision Mularkey.
John from Riverside Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 We will be ok with Euhus if he can ever stay healthy...... But yeah...I cant wait to see what Everett does
