Fan in San Diego
The Bills do tend to choke when on the road against the Raiders. We have a good chance to win this opne but the black hole has indeed been a pit for us.
Mark VI
Does anyone know that the Bills play the Raiders this week? 480260 There are no Raider fans baiting the foilheads of TSW, unlike the Pats bandwagon fans who login here every day. (God only knows why? )
Johnny Coli
I mentioned it in another thread, but I'll say it here, too. I believe this game is even more important than the Pats game. The Bills can not go into Foxboro 3-4. That would be too much pressure for this team to have to play the Pats at home in primetime with basically the season on the line. I'm not saying they can't win that game, but if they lose to Oakland then the Pats, and head into the bye at 3-5 they are cooked. Also, it is imperitive that this team prove to itself that it can win on the road before they head to Foxboro. A 4-3 record, with a 3 game winning streak coming off a road win...that would be some serious momentum that can be built upon. Even if they lose to the Pats, they would only be 4-4 heading into their bye, with a final half of the season where I don't think it's unrealistic that they could go 6-2. This Oakland game is huge. The Pats game would be a nice statement to the league that they are for real, but the Oakland game is, in my opinion, their season.
Frez
Lindell will be the MVP of this game! I think the Bills coaching staff has found out what works best for this team. Willis McGahee!

rockpile
You're right - I've never seen such a bunch of overconfident knuckleheads about a game in which their team was UNDERDOGS as if the other team isn't even going to show up since....well, since Dolphins fans 2 weeks ago; but it still annoys the hell out of me when I see it from my fellow Bills fans. This makes absolutely zero sense. They're playing a division rival - the defending champion last week....at home coming off a bye, other team off a short week....They were 1-3. How in God's name are they not "pumped" last week? Was that not their season on the line? Unfortantely I have a sick feeeling that you are right. Knowing the Raiders it'll be "Oh hell, those home division games don't mean anything.....Buffalo - now there's our Super Bowl". Jackasses. 480388 C'mon, you see this same bunch of overconfident knuckleheads frequently! Hopefully the Bills are only looking at Sunday. inkman
The Bills aren't--just most of the folks on this board. With Moss hobbled, the Raiders are going to open a whole big can of Lamont Jordan whup-ass on the Bills. That means ball control with a few Collins bombs to Gabriel (who stepped up after Moss left last week) and Porter. According to most of the analysts on NFL radio (Sirius), this is a real "show me" game for the Raiders, so they are going to be pumped. Gray has to come up with some kind of scheme to stop the run. If he can do that, the DBs will take care of business. On offense, same as last week: run Willis and spread the passes around. I'm looking forward to seeing Roscoe roll up some serious YAC numbers. 480294 Parrish or no Parrish the bills should stick the ball in Willis' gut about 30 times and mix Shaud in for 5 or 6 times as well. The Raiders are a bad team. Poor leadership, bad coaching, and no pass defense (I know, why run then?) = Bills winning. Now lets just hope the coaches don't screw this on up. Buffalo has way moer talent, both sides of the ball. Oddsmakers can go fugg themselves.
Simon
If you go and pick up an OED and look up the term "trap game", the first definition listed is "Bills at Raiders, Oct. 23 2005". Staff and vets got to find a way to keep 'em all dialed in. Could be a cheeseburger week.
meazza
In my opinion, i expect a win vs the raiders, cuz if we cant beat the raiders we suck but... we'll most likely lose vs the pats, although ill be extatic if we beat the pats, im not too confident, maybe that will change this weekend but usually games vs the pats bring us back down to earth in the worst way
