Here is an excerpt: You would think owner William Clay Ford would be about ready to put Millen and Mariucci on a plane out of town, but that's not going to happen. Curiously (and that's being kind), Ford gave Millen a contract extension. Millen can thank the likes of Mel Kiper Jr., for that because Ford, by his own admission, rewarded Millen for high draft grades. But like a middle school GPA, those grades have meant little in the real world of wins and losses. So the owner of the Lions hands out contract extensions based on Mel Kiper grades?!?! Ralph Wilson at his most senile would never do something like that. Which reminds me, how did Kiper grade the Bills draft the last few years?
