Fezmid Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Vick faces the Rams, who were defensively torn apart in the offseason. However, Brady plays the Cards... Not sure who to start, any suggestions? CW
MattyT Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I say Vick. NE is gonna get ahead of the Cards early and then its gonna be run, run, run. Plus the St. Louis secondary is shaky.
Tux of Borg Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Vick put up crappy fantasy numbers last week. I benched him and am starting Vinny.
gantrules Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Brady. That sweltering heat is going to take a toll on old man Dillon.
MDH Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I say Vick. NE is gonna get ahead of the Cards early and then its gonna be run, run, run. Plus the St. Louis secondary is shaky. 34798 I wish this was the case as I have Dillon on my team...however, the same thing that happened last week will happen this week, they won't use Dillon that much until they have a backup for him...they don't want to risk an injury and then have no tailbacks on the active roster.
BF_in_Indiana Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I have the same situation. Brady and Vick. I'm starting Brady. I think that Brady is going to throw a lot every week. That's just NE. Corey Dillon won't change the style of their offense.
Bear Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Hell, I'm thinking of starting Brady v. Cardinals over Culpepper v. Philly. I'd go with Brady over Vick.
stevestojan Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 see, now this would be a concern. Brady vs. Vick (Unlike Nick's Bledsoe vs McNair - sorry nick, but you knew the answer to that! ) Anyway, in my league anyway, QBs get points for rushing, just as a RB would get 6 if he threw a TD pass. With only that in mind, i would go with Vick. However, if you want to play the safe (safe, yet most likely still get you points) go with Brady. You take no chances with Brady (you're gonna get some points), but he probably wont get you tons of points. Vick could give you a goose egg, or he could BLOW UP. I like to gamble, so i would go Vick.
Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Brady will be good for 350+ passing yards and 3 or more TD's against Zona. Vick will probably get injured against the Rams.
stevestojan Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Vick will probably get injured against the Rams. 35178 and there's you huge question mark. Its not "is Vick gonna get hurt this year" but "in which game is he gonna get hurt?" still, I have this weird feeling about zona this week, as if NE is already thinking BYE week, and looking past the cards. I would start Vick .
BILLS4LIFE Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Vick. If the Patsies run up a big enough lead on the Cards, they will probably give it to Dillon. Im also hoping the Cards are pumped up enough for this game that they will make Bradys life a living hell out there!
Indy Dave Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Brady all the way. Doesn't matter what the score might be, Brady and the Pats will throw it around the field and pile up completions, yards and TDs.
Guest Guest Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 and there's you huge question mark. Its not "is Vick gonna get hurt this year" but "in which game is he gonna get hurt?" Even if Vick does stay healthy he's not very likely to better Brady totals. Vick is the most overrated player in football.
Hollywood Donahoe Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Tough call. Under normal circumstances, I'd say Vick because of the reason MattyT stated. But with Faulk out again, The Pats probably aren't going to run the ball more than 20 or so times, so Brady should have a chance to put up good numbers again.
