Simon Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Like last year, he has seemed to be having a pretty slow start as he struggles to get to the POA, find targets and get square on them. But yesterday he was outstanding, cleaning up a lot of garbage and busting some chops to turn little spaces into big spaces for Willis. Notwithstanding that late 3rddown miscue in which both he and Holcombe failed to execute properly, I thought Shelton had by far his best game of the year. A nod also to Shaud Williams who not only looked good registering some valuable carries for us but was also very good in protection, showing a great ability to take on guys far bigger than him who are bearing down fast with bad intentions. He's not a large man, but he is a committed and courageous blocker.

But, please Clements, on third and one do not ever call another swing pass to Shelton.
