Well, not so fast. The books would go out of business if the public were right more often than not when they overloaded on one side. If the line doesn't move, usually having the majority of the public on your side is a bad thing. On the other hand, it takes more money to push a line off of "3" (the most common final differential) than other spreads because of the risk of the game middling.

 

My read on the betting pattern for this game is that it looks like a normal game so far.
