kegtapr Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 That joke just plain sucked. Seriously, there is bad comedy, then there is what you just did. And no, I'm not a Yankees fan.
Puhonix Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 bite me, Nomar cannot hold A-Rod or Jeters' Jocks, and believe me he has tried! 473934 I didnt think of this joke as a Nomar lover, but more of a Yankee hater.
The Poojer Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 hence the "bite me" comment from this Yankee Lover! I didnt think of this joke as a Nomar lover, but more of a Yankee hater. 473937
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Here's the actual article. 473944 Gutsy. A guy worth millions is at high risk for being sued for helping anyone. It would have been much more sensible to let them drown.

kegtapr Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 That "joke" headline was on Fark today... 473987 Just reinforces why I never read Fark.
IDBillzFan Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Garciaparra, traded to the Chicago Cubs on July 31, 2004, was in his Charlestown condominium with his uncle at about 10 p.m. Friday when they heard a scream and a splash. Garciapparra initially didn't react because he thought what he heard was just another guy trying to mount Paris Hilton. Makes sense to me.
slothrop Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I actually laughed when I read the article. His uncle seemed to say - "I went to go get help and jumped twenty feet down to the river - But Nomar was already there!" It is Super Nomar to the rescue! LOL! The Uncle was also saying, "but, but, but - I helped too!" Nomar and Uncle Nomar could not get to the press fast enough.
