BB2004 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 It is 1st and Goal on the 1 yard line... My philosophy is give the ball to McGahee 4 straight times (unless there is a severe loss). I hate the play-action, gadget moves when you are a foot away from the goal-line!! Buffalo does it quite often. Another call I like is the quarterback sneak in that situation. I also think you go for it on 4th and an inch. The situation on Sunday, the Bills were on the 1 foot line. 1st and Goal from the 1- Run with McGahee for no gain 2nd and Goal from the 1- Run with McGahee for no gain 3rd and Goal... tricky play action screen pass for a 5 yard loss. 4th down... we settle for a fieldgoal, only go up by 17... and Miami has momentum. Does anybody else think the Bills should have run it up the gut on 3rd down with KH or WM, and EVEN IF there is no touchdown, do it again on 4th down? 473284[/snapback] I think it says something about our ability to pick up the first down's on third and one this year. Anybody have the stats for converting those situations?
