1billsfan Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 No for Peters is not a great run blocker. he seems to be able to catch well and able to get a load of steam and knock down smaller, lighter players but that is different than goal line stances where short bursts of power are needed. 472068[/snapback] How do you know that Jason Peters is not a great run blocker? He's been used very little in this capacity. Seriously, how do you know? Our line is one of the worst in the league and I'd like for Malarkey to start making some changes on it, one of them is putting Peters in at LT. Gandy is a joke.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I think that Euhus and Neufeld basically stink at blocking. Campbell is pretty average. The Bills knew, with KH starting, and playing the Dolphins, who likely weren't going to be putting up huge numbers, that it was going to be a fairly conservative game plan, with a lot of running to Willis. That made them go to a two TE offense a lot more, as well as using Peters to block, as he is probably already better at it than Campbell is. In fact, there were numerous plays that Peters was the only TE on the field, but they rarely threw on those plays, although he went out for a couple patterns. It seemed pretty simple why he was out there in a 86 jersey. Euhus has a bad shoulder and can't block anyway. We knew we were going to run a lot and play a very conservative passing game.
