PTS Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I'm here to take my lumps like a man and then go cry like a woman. I don't know what to say other that I'm sorry to those whose hopes I got up. With what I was told and by who and with what I already knew, I had no reason not to believe the Sabres were unveiling their jerseys tonight. So I was either lied to that this was going to happen tonight or the person who called me today was completely deceived with what was going on. That being said, let me have it. I will never open my mouth again for I was made a fool.
KD in CA Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I'd rather see a win in black than a loss in blue/gold. Don't worry about it.
Kevbeau Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Ignoring yourself is like "same matter can't occupy same space," (some bad Van Damme movie). I eagerly await the demise of the Goat and at least we have hope for the return of the Blue and Gold....Damn you Quinn!!!!!!
stuckincincy Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 That being said, let me have it. I will never open my mouth again for I was made a fool. 466713 A good man will keep his word. See ya.
aussiew Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 At least you apologized and offered yourself up for ridicule from the TSW bullies. You're a real man in my eyes.
SilverNRed Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 You probably weren't wrong - just about one year too early.
Tux of Borg Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 They fed you false information to see who the mole was.
Dan Gross Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I told you that Paul Szeglowski guy was not to be trusted...shouldn't have put so much faith in one article the guy wrote... stevestojan happens...
Ghost of BiB Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Don't sweat it. As the guy who drew up the plans for actually disposing of Iraqi nerve gas artillery rounds, I can understand bad intelligence.

brihs2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Whoa!!!! He apologizes, and therefore he gets a free ride. This board has gone soft!! That said... I am glad i don't need to shell out $100+ for a new jersey this season. Go Sabres!
Alaska Darin Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I had hoped you were right. I was disappointed when you were wrong. At least you'll always be able to work at WGR.
smokinandjokin Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I felt misled, betrayed, deceived.... Look out TD, Clutch is auditioning for your job!
PTS Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 I felt misled, betrayed, deceived.... Look out TD, Clutch is auditioning for your job! 467621 Trust me, no one is more pissed than me. I tried getting answers today but nada. I learned from my mistake, don't take anybody's word on anything unless you see it for yourself. That being said, Golisano said there would be some huge surprises at the game. I guess a 6-4 was a huge surprise. But there wasn't anything else.

I also hear a bunch of former Sabres were there as well...
