County X & gmac17

Let's pretend there is a certain county organization in a certain county that is having some financial troubles. Lets pretend they have a website that uses a poorly abbreviated version of their name for their web address because at some point somebody took the "good name" before they got it. Then pretend the "good name" expires and goes into an auction to the highest bidder...and imagine, just imagine if gmac17 won that auction so he could donate the name to this organization.

gmac17 understands that they probably won't be able to just "switch things over" to the new name, but they would certainly appreciate having control of the good name, and could at least forward the good address to the bad address when people type it in - which they do - all the time.

Wouldn't it be amusing if he offered the name to the organization and they turned it down? And if he doublecchecked with them just to make sure because he couldn't believe they didn't want this free thing that he bought for them. ...

Now that would be funny!!!!

Wouldn't it be even funnier if he wrote a letter to the editor of the local paper, putting the moronic County "leaders" incompetence on display for all to see?

I've thought of that...first I'm going to forward the domain to a page that tells the story so that lots of people trying to find the website find the story....
