dave mcbride Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 http://www.allsports.com/cgi-bin/nfldraft.cgi?round=1 that was a pretty grim first round. picks 1-7 (excepting pick 2) have all underachieved, and two of the better achievers - roy williams (#8) and ed reed (#24) are safeties. as with all drafts, a number of guys panned out, but alot haven't (yet). hindsight is easy, but the offensive tackle who has turned out to be the best is the one that everyone on espn mocked when he was drafted at #10 - levi jones. he's definitely the pick of the litter among the offensive linemen taken that year in the first round.
drnykterstein Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Pretty much, dwight freeney is the only person from that list I'd take over MW. ... so.. that said I'm happy with our #4 pick.
