Frez Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 When do we see Willis break that long run for 60 yards?
Zona Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 When do we see Willis break that long run for 60 yards? 460618[/snapback] Hopefully soon. But I am concerned that he hasn't got his speed back yet. He just looks a little slow hitting the hole or trying to turn the corner. Maybe it's just me. Or maybe he IS slower. Hopefully, it's just me...
ajzepp Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 There was an off-tackle run (to the right) he had in the Atlanta game where he had daylight, but some JERKOFF on the Falcons reached out and caught him on the ankle at the perfect time in his stride. I thought for sure he was going to break that one all the way to the endzone.
Mile High Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 He took one for 25 or so in the Falcons game. He had one man to beat. But the guy got lucky with the tackle.
ajzepp Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I was just happy to see Willis come out and run hard after the Tampa game and the way Mularkey got on him. The last thing we needed was our star player on offense causing a controversy. Even those people who don't like TD have to give him props for the way he not only fleeced Atlanta for the pick, but had the balls to pull the trigger even though Travis was here. Willis legitimizes our offense.
Astrobot Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 It's the real game of inches (well, football and porn are, but...). Willis has had the opportunity to make some long, deep penetrations, and has just come up short...
