I think you and everyone else on the board also know that Roethlisberger is much more of an abberation than the rule among Qbs.

Uh, actually, that's not a fact. It's an opinion.

Widely held opinions are still opinions.

You MUST be joking.

Need I remind you that the Squeeler second-stringers kicked the snot out of the Bills in week 17 last year?

was this thread ever about pittsburgh losing the game? nah. it was about Ben playing like "shiat"

Well, he obviously didn't play well enough to win, did he?

YOU must be joking.

I agree that the Steelers are a better team than the Bills.

That does not make it a "fact." It is still an opinion. There's no such thing as a factual sentence with the word "better" in it. It's an opinion. Again, a widely held opinion is still an opinion.

Did you drop out in the third grade or do you just "forget" to read things that prove you wrong?

I'm still awaiting your rebuttal to my Spikes post. Tell me how isn't the best linebacker on the team again please.

Is it? Take a look at the defensive stats from last year. Take a look at the Offensive stats from last year. I'd say the stats conclusively PROVE the Stillers were and still are a better team than the Bills.

Nice ad hominem, jerk-off.

You must have missed my rebuttal. Who led the defense in total tackles last year?

Maybe YOU should read before you post, Grant.

did he have a great game? no. did he lead his team from behind to tie the game? yes.

is it his fault Tom Brady was 12-12 in the 4th quarter? is it his fault the pats had a nice kick return and Brady did what he always does to put the Pats in the position to win it? is it his fault mr clutch made his game winning field goal?

you, my friend, obviously are confused about the game of football and cannot admit when you're wrong. you made this thread in an attempt to justify JP's performance today. you know it. and you still haven't answered Dickersons question from earlier. if you call ben's performance today "shiat", what would you call JPs game?

Someone above said you should quit posting for the night. You really should, because this is embarassing for you. I hope you're drunk.

Okay, first, you can't argue that the sentence "The Steelers are a better team than the Bills" is a fact. It isn't. It's an opinion. This isn't arguable. Saying "the Steelers had more wins than the Bills last year" is a fact. Saying they're a "better" team is an opinion. This is something you learn in grade school English classes, for god's sake.

Also, you clearly missed the rebuttal I was talking about. I read and responded to your lame "who led the defense in total tackles?" rebuttal.

But since you're incapable of re-checking the thread before you spout off nonsense, I'll even go through the trouble of re-posting my rebuttal.

Our best linebacker, huh?

Who led the team in tackles last year, genius?

Next....

Because that obviously is the only determing factor in a player's worth.

Fletcher may have had more total tackles (although Takeo was second), but he is not nearly the overall player that Takeo is. Nevermind that last year Takeo was second on the team in interceptions with 5 and two of them were for touchdowns. London didn't have any interceptions.

Fletcher is fine against the run but is a liability in the passing game. Takeo (as evidenced with his 5 interceptions) is not only good against the pass, but (as evidenced with his 96 tackles) is also fine against the run.

This is all completely ignoring the energy and heart that Takeo brings to the team, too, which is incalcuable. Try a better argument next time, genius, because I can be just as big of an ass as you can.

NEXT.

You'd have to be blind to not see JP struggled today.

But....and this is a MAJOR point here, so try and follow along....IT WAS HIS THIRD START!

To judge the kid on three starts, two against speedy, aggressive defenses when his OWN defense couldn't stop the Sisters of the Poor on third down is just a WEE bit hasty.

That's what I'm saying. That's about as clear as I can put it. Understand now, pacpie?

It is? I hardly feel embarrassed in pointing out facts to the arrogant ignoranti around here.

Fact: The Steelers had more wins than the Bills last year.

Fact: The Steelers allowed fewer points than the bills did last year.

Fact: The Steelers gained more yardage on the ground than the Bills did last year.

Fact: The Steelers were a better team than the bills last year.

It's really not difficult, Grant.

That was some rebuttal there, Grant. Yeah. Seeing as the number one responsibility of a linebacker is TACKLING, Pardon me if I put total tackles at the top of the list for statistics for linebackers.

Also, your thinking that he's the emotional leader of the team? What makes you draw that conclusion? The fact that he dances around after he makes a tackle? I'd think that Milloy's solid play or Fletch's quiet resolve are FAR better indicators of leadership than the highlight-seeking dancing perpetuated by TKO.

If you think you can embarrass me, you've got another thing coming, Grant. Keep throwing absurd "arguments" and "rebuttals" out there. It won't change the fundamental fact that you are WRONG.

Rothlisberger looked as bad as JP tonight. The Steelers D were pushed around just like the Bills D. We forget that in any given week, 15 or so other teams fail to get it done as well.

he did? when the steelers needed a touchdown to tie the game, I think he handled himself quite well. what did JP do when presented with the same situation? nothing. ben had one less turnover and 2 more td's and you still insist JP had a better game. except JP didn't come through when we needed him. is it fair to expect that of him? probably not, but to imply JP may have had a better game than Ben, that's just dumb.

You can keep saying I'm wrong and keep calling opinions "facts," but that doesn't make it so, my friend.

This is the last time I'm going to reply to this stupid opinion versus fact "argument", because I'm not here to be your teacher. The first three facts you listed are facts. Those are provable things.

The word "better" eliminates the last one from being a fact. "Better" can mean all sorts of things. Maybe the Bills are "better" because they're located in Buffalo or because blue is their color. "Better" is not something you can tangibly prove. You think the Steelers are currently a "better" team than the Bills (and so do I) because they had more wins, allowed fewer yards, have faster players, etc. Just because we both think that those things make the Steelers a "better" team does not mean it a fact. It. Is. Still. An. Opinion.

Also, tackling isn't the only responsibility of a linebacker. That's the funny thing about the linebacking position. They're in-between the defensive line and the secondary. So, linebackers have to do a little bit of both. Linebackers have to be the most versaitle players on a defense.

Therefore, while tackling is a big part of linebacking, so is pass defense. Takeo has shown he's far more adept at defending the pass than London, and they're generally both excellent run stoppers. I would say this shows that Takeo is a "better" player than London.

Let me guess, you're a moral relativist....

The tangible facts all prove the superiority of the Steelers wehn compared to our beloved Bills. Whenever all other possibilities have been ruled out, the improbable, however unlikely, must be the truth. And in this case, it isn't all that unlikely.

What? Morals have nothing to do with it.

Okay, now you're sayin "truth" instead of "fact." That's a completely different animal (although I'd like to also point out that "facts" are not necessairly always "true) and I'm going to just stop replying to this thread because this is going nowhere; no matter how wrong you are, you're never going to admit it. Especially after all this jumping and screaming you've done.
