Rico Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I really liked reading this: Chuck Pollock Had it been a Gregg Williams-coached team that had lost in such devastating fashion, the anger and frustration would have been palpable. Williams and certain members of his staff had a way of distancing themselves from less-than-stellar efforts by the players. Sunday wasn’t like that. Mularkey has sold his team on a “we’re-all-in-this-together” philosophy. And while the players were bitterly disappointed, there was no finger-pointing. Instead, there was a sense that they had played well enough to win. GO MM!
Mike in Syracuse Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I think Pollack's article is supported by the fact that there were no individual introductions during the pregame. The defense was set to be introduced but they were introduced as a unit. Perhaps a seed has been planted?
TigerJ Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Yeah, good old Greggy did have a way of saying, "It's not my fault."
34-78-83 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 You can tell already that the players respect Him more than they did GW...
Beerball Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 You can tell already that the players respect Him more than they did GW... 32090[/snapback] Agree. DBs comments about wanting that win so much said it all. The team was looking forward to giving MM the game ball after his first game for his first win. Bottom line though...the have to learn how to win, and the staff needs to trust the players (offense) to make plays.
