Brutal.

I really would be interested in the blood pressure levels of some of the posters here.

Some people are glass half empty, some are half full. I'm a half full because you have a better chance of someone pouring you more wine if it's half empty. And that my friends is how I veiw life.

And someone pouring you more wine is a bad thing?

I suppose it depends on the wine.

Normally, about 115-120 over 70-80. Is that good? You said you were interested, or was that some rhetorical question look at me I have a thousand million post crap? I've got about 500,000 posts over time, and have yet to say anything meaningful or worthwhile.

Something I take a great amount of pride in. That's not easy to do with volume, then again, I should have gotten lucky by now.

Could you suggest a good chardonnay with retatta ?

Well here's the problem with retatta. The acidity of the pickle juice clashed with pretty much any wine. I prefer to serve mine with a shot of pepto-bismol.

Not true. Retatta goes (and I do mean GOES) well with a fine Thunderbird - preferably of a Thursday vintage. By the way, you are supposed to be starting your 3rd bottle before easing into the nuanced taste of the Retatta.

He asked for wine, not alternative fuel source in a bottle. Thunderbird does cut through acidity in foods, but also cuts through the acidity in your stomach...along with it's lining.

Technicality. And you call yourself a chef. You should be ashamed for not knowing that.

The bad part is I'm no longer a professional chef...but I am a amature wino. So I really should be ashamed.
