plenzmd1 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Headed to Vegas in a few hours. Anyone have any leadpipe locks? 451332[/snapback] Yep, if your going with your wife, if you win big, say you broke even. If you lose, tell her you lost. Now for the real tips. If your a craps player, play downtown. Some places give up to ten times odds. 3-6 poker games are easy pickings with all the first time players, but you will take your share of bad beats. Need to invest some time to truly come out ahead on the small stake poker tables. Leadpipe lock o the week Tampa givin three to GB.
taterhill Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 make sure you hit the ATM while going back to your room with a hot girl that laughs at all of your stories and calls you sugar
smokinandjokin Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Indy (-13.5) home vs. Cleveland. Indy will want to prove that last week was an aberration and that they do have a powerhouse offense. Plus Cleveland's defense is pathetic. Don't let the big number scare you away- Philly was favored by the same amount last week and they beat S.F. by 40.
BB2004 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

HopsGuy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I'm here to help: The Palamino is the only fully nude (the girls, not you) place that serves alcohol. It was $30 at the door last year. Where's the Nose76? He lives there and works for MGM. I'd take Marshall and lay the 3. They've been strong (nearly won at K-State) and UCF hasn't won in 2 years.
Pete Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Hang out at the Hard Rock Better yet hang out at the pool bar at the Hard Rock. The Pink Taco at the Hard Rock is the best Mexican food I have ever had and very affordable. Head over to the Double Down lounge for a rockin time

VABills Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Buffets. Go to Mandalay Bay. By far one of the best. Shows - depends on who's with you, but Momma Mia is pretty good. BMG, okay, kind of loud. More for the teen/20 something crowd.
Marv Levy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Hard Rock then go to The Double Down Saloon. Thats all you need to know. They are within walking distance too. Maybe stop at the Hofbrahaus for a German Beer and pretzel. Enjoy the 85-90 degree weather were having right now.
e-dog Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 NC St. -10 over N.C Do not under any circumstances play 3/6 hold'em as suggested, unless you like playing bingo, because thats is basically what you are doing. It's a card catching game with no skills needed.

Ill dish some tidbits out - If you have about $50 to burn (per ticket) the Kings are playing the Avalanche tomorrow at the Grand Garden. I would never go to a hockey game in Vegas, especially pre season, but I did see a guy wearing an Avalanche jersey in the casino today. For betting, hmm I turned in my employee contest picks today and cant really think of any "best bets" for the NFL. Most of the spreads I was going off, and they may have changed, were either too small or too broad to bother. The Colts were giving 15.5 to the Browns for instance. Probably the one I'd say is the best was the Giants are getting 6.5 at the Chargers, and that should be a pretty close one. I took the Jags last week +7.5 in Indy in a similar type game, although that one point is a big difference. If you're a poker fan stop by Bellagio, theres a good chance you'll see some famous players there on the weeekend thats where they usually play. And if you have about $200 laying around you can eat at one of the French restaurants that just opened last week at the MGM Gambling wise - dont spend too much. Its easy to keep going - thinking youll just win it back. Trust me - you wont. House always wins!

Always a good time - although I think Oktoberfest there officially starts NEXT weekend. It's on the corner of Harmon and Paradise - about 3 blocks or so east of the strip and across the street from Hard Rock - which has the best pool and best looking ladies of anywhere in Vegas IMO! - Just realized this was started this morning at about 7 am pacific - Hops Guy is here already. Oops. Thought it was just general tips oh well
