BuckeyeBill Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 On Sportscenter Today (4 downs) Sean Salisbury and John Clayton were asked who the best defense in football is right now. Clayton (without shock) said Tampa Bay (they are #1 right now), but Salisbury said the Colts. What the heck? The Colts? Sad that nobody even mentioned Buffalo.

After two games I wouldn't worry about these types of questions, they'll sort themselves out on the field by the end of the year.

TB is a solid choice, but WTF is this about the Colts? Sure they had some good defensive performances against the Ravens and Jaguars but those aren't especially talented offenses. The Colts defense will come back to earth the second they play against a team that can move the ball.
BRH Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Last night on Inside The NFL, none other than Danny Boy said he felt that the Bills had the league's best defense, even now.
silvermike Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 If the Ravens, Patriots, Panthers, Steelers, Eagles, and Falcons were also not mentioned, I really can't complain.
Buftex Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 What have you done for me lately? 450611 Just like Bills fans gauge their team!!!!!!! We seem to be in such a hurry to point out who sucks, or who had a bad game, whenever we lose, we forget, there is another team on the field that is trying to win too! The Bills, and their defense will be fine!
ganesh Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 We have the best pass defense in the league,...... 450596 When the opponent can run the ball down your throat the whole day, there is no need for them to pass on you....Hence our Pass defense #s are glamorous....We had 0 picks off Griese last week...

It's @ the END of the season that you want to be considered the best. Remember the start and the finish of the 2003 season, aka "A Tale Of Two 31-0 Games"?
