VABills Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Sat behind someone average-sized in the theater, did you? 451004 Nope had no desire to see it at the theatre. Of course when I started watching it at home, I am glad I didn't pay for it.
Mike32282 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I seen it on TV earlier. This is all we need! 449741 It's moving more towards your way. It may now land in Western Lousiana. You better get the hell out of there asap.
TheMadCap Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 My oldest brother, his wife, four kids, step-parents, daughter-in-law, and one dog are on thier way from Houston to Holly Springs to stay with Mom and Pops. Scary, scary stuff...
aussiew Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 8:30pm Central time. She just made a little wobble to the left.
Campy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 8:30pm Central time. She just made a little wobble to the left. 451088 It looks like Port Arthur and Beaumont will receive the brunt of it. Either way, it's going to be ugly- a weather buoy off the Louisiana coast has already registered gusts above hurricane strength (>75 mph). They also mentioned that your neck of the woods might get a lot of rain - it may stall out over eastern TX.
Campy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Rita's first fatality- A bus carrying seniors out of Houston on I-45 explodes and injuries several people. Authorities seem to think one of the senior's oxygen tanks exploded. Traffic at a standstill as they work to clear the road... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9449949/
Beerball Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I guess we can now attribute several deaths to Rita. A bus carrying people north from Houston burst into flames outside Dallas. Early reports are 20 deaths.
aussiew Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 And evacuees who have already been on the road for over 14 hours have been stopped dead behind that mess. This is sooooooooooo sad and ugly.
sweet baboo Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 just got breaking news that water is flowing over NO levies
CajunBillsBacker Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 just got breaking news that water is flowing over NO levies 451437 You are correct, in the city goes the 9th ward canal once again. Winds are picking up in my area by the hour, can't believe I still have power.
smokinandjokin Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 just got breaking news that water is flowing over NO levies 451437 This was expected, but not this early. It could get ugly. Levees breached
Ramius Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 This was expected, but not this early. It could get ugly. Levees breached 451500 yup, it could get bad again...they said the patches could withstand another 6 inches of water, and NO is supposed to ger 3-5" in rain...not including storm surge...not good...
aussiew Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Joey is going to have more crap from Rita than he did from Katrina because now he's on the dirty side of the storm. Take cover my friend!!
erynthered Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 How'd you like the name of the guy from FOX who's covering Rita. His name is: Joe Bastardi Tell me this guy didnt have a few hockey fights.
stuckincincy Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 How'd you like the name of the guy from FOX who's covering Rita. His name is: Joe Bastardi Tell me this guy didnt have a few hockey fights. 452135 He showed up last year. He seems to know his weather, but he's right out of central casting as an extra in any mob movie.
BengalBEVIS Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Everybody oughta move to Ohio. 449366 And be "Bengals" fans!!!!!Grooooooooooooovey Baby!!!
stuckincincy Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 And be "Bengals" fans!!!!!Grooooooooooooovey Baby!!! 452611 Keep a sense of perspective... They've done well, but the schedule in the first half is amenable except PGH and JAX. Week 9, they play BAL, IND, BAL, and PGH in a row and finish on the road against what so far is a very good KC club.
