scribo Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 My least favorite martian is hurt -- once again. I know he always plays through his injuries, but, at his age, something has to give sooner than later. Martin strains knee, status uncertain Herman Edwards is quoted sounding a lot like Derrick Blaylock is going to carry the load this week against the Jags. The Jests also have: -Both FBs, Jerald Sowell and B.J. Askew, have sprained right ankles -starting safety Erik Coleman had surgery Monday on his right thumb, which was fractured and dislocated against the Stinkin' Fish
KD in CA Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 They're screwed w/o Martin. If that Jax defense can should out Manning all day long, I can't see noodle arm doing much for the Jets.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Yep, that's why I'm not ready to jump off the bridge just yet. The Pats and Jets figure to lose, playing at the Steelers and at home against the better Jags without Martin respectively, while the Dols have Carolina at home. If the Bills beat the beatable Falcs at home, they have sole possession of 1st in the AFC East, and at worst, are tied for first (and last) with the other 3 teams.
Rubes Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 What's really interesting is that there is a realistic chance that everybody in the AFC East could be 1-2 after next week. Weird.
