stuckincincy Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 We're like three folks in an old car. Cool. 447212[/snapback] Old fact about old cars. The term "look out for number one" is rooted in the Ford Model T. The motor had "splash" lubrication - no oil pump. The engine had 3 main bearings, and if one ran the buggy uphill for an extended period, the front-most crankshaft bearing could and did fail due to gravity. Fortunately, bearings were avaliable so after a delay, they were able to go on their way thanks to those that who made sure such bearings would be there for the motorist to carry on.

In the early days, many cars were built by basically bicycle makers. Serious marketing back then. Got Eddie Rickenbacher his start.
Ghost of BiB Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 So, if you want everyone to pass from while at work you might lose a poster or two. All you have to do is cut off my IP. You were the one there at 3 in the morning. I, on the other hand was watching the broiler-ladder channel.
