Navy Chief Navy Pride Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I didnt see him record a tackle in the 2nd half and Angelo Crowell got approx 8 tackles. What happened to Fletcher? I was just a little bit drunk and didnt see him leave the game.
Tom Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Yes,,,,, Hamstring. No word on his status yet tho.
pkwwjd Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I think that everything went downhill defensively when he went out. Didn't see him on the field on the first TD drive or after.
Eric in Akron Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 It seemed to me that once Fletcher was out, they started pulling out some big runs. Fletcher could be the pin on defense that plugs the middle up.
BuckeyeBill Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I think that losing our defensive captain... our number 1 tackler.... Dot Com... that's when the game was lost. Too bad... I would like to have seen if anything would have been different if Fletcher had been in there... tackling Cadillac after 3 yards instead of him breaking it out to 30. Not that we would have won, but I would have enjoyed the game more.
JCBoston Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 From the writeups this morning, it doesn't sound like Fletcher (or MW, for that matter) are injured all that badly. MM said he kept Fletcher out for "precautions", and he was on the sideline the whole game. Mike Williams wasn't walking with any noticeable limp after the game, either.
Dan Gross Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Well it certainly made for good input into the "Great LB Debate," though I would have rather it not...
pkwwjd Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I noticed during a few of the bigger runs that TroyV had a tough time taking down Cadillac. He bounced off of him a few times. I guess probably just simple physics.
UConn James Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 MM said he kept Fletcher out for "precautions", and he was on the sideline the whole game. 446204[/snapback] I really don't understand that unless something was tweaked whereby a week of rest would have him at 100% and playing would have made the situation decidedly worse. Would those precautions include getting cheap-shotted by Frank Middleton? We've now lost our MLB in the last two games at TB.
