boomerjamhead Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 In previous years, beer was ahead of wine by as much as 19 percent. In 1992, the first year in which the poll was conducted, 46 percent of drinkers said they opted for a beer, compared with just 27 percent who preferred a chilled glass of wine. We suck like the French.
Surfmeister Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I like my beer and red wine. It depends what I'm in the mood for. The next time I do pour a glass of Aussie Shiraz or California Cab I'll remind myself I'm a pansy and try to enjoy it anyway.
EndZoneCrew Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Who did they interview? Freakin Fish fans?? Obviously there was nobody from Buffalo on those poll results!
Ghost of BiB Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I take exception to that, west coast squid homo... I drink more wine than beer and I'm not a pansy. French wines are about the only thing good I can come up with for them, cognac and champagne as well. Of course I drink more vodka and scotch than wine, so what do I know.

It's going to be a long ass flight tomorrow morning.
lawnboy1977 Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I love beer, but there's nothing like a good glass of wine. Problem is that when I open a bottle of wine I always have to drink the whole damn thing. Well, I dont have to, but I do!
John from Riverside Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Well...I guess the secret is out...I am a panzy... I will take wine over beer depending on what type of food is being ate at the time.... To me....NOTHING tastes as good as a ribeye steak and a big goblet of cold white zinfendale.....or 3
The Warden Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 ......Guess you never had a really fine bottle of wine...... 440793 On that subject: There is a dangerous virus being passed electronically, orally and by hand. This virus is called Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely. If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take 2 good friends to the nearest pub. Purchase the antidote known as Work-Isolator-Neutralizer-Extractor (WINE). The quickest acting WINE type is called Swift-Hitting-Infiltrator-Remover-All-Zones (SHIRAZ) but this is only available for those who can afford it,the next best equivalent is Cheapest-Available-System-Killer (CASK). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system. Forward this warning to 5 friends. If you do not have 5 friends you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life. This virus is DEADLY(Destroys-Every-Available-Decent-Living-Youngster). Update 05-05-05: After extensive testing it has been concluded that Best-Equivalent-Extractor-Remedy (BEER) may be substituted for WINE but may require a more generous application.
ajzepp Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I actually wish I was more of a pansy....higher alcohol content and better for ya
EC-Bills Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 We suck like the French. 440741 Well it is a better leg spreader than beer...
Chef Jim Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Well it is a better leg spreader than beer... 440825 And their gut doesn't get in the way.
erynthered Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Isn't "panzy" spelled with a zed? 440779 Zed's dead. Keep up.
Tony P Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 To me....NOTHING tastes as good as a ribeye steak and a big goblet of cold white zinfendale.....or 3 440786 Please, please, please: Try a nice cabernet next time you have that ribeye. Cool, not cold. Please. You should be able to get a nice one in Temecula. Try Baily or one of the other locals down there. Don't take offense but (IMHO) calling white zin wine is like calling Odoul's a stout lager I know it's personal taste but...
