millbank Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 The Ravens signed quarterback Kordell Stewart Wednesday, and, should he grasp the offensive system quickly enough, he could be the team's primary backup this Sunday. To make room for Stewart on their 53-man roster, the Ravens released wide receiver Patrick Johnson. Stewart was the team's No. 2 quarterback for all of 2004, but failed to sign with another team after his one-year contract expired. Kordell Stewart
stuckincincy Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Probably a good move on their part. Boller with that toe isn't coming back anytime soon. I'm not a fan of Boller's performance, but he knows their offensive system and his not being available is a blow to that club.

Dawgg Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I don't see how Kordell remained unsigned, if not for a backup or 3rd string position. NJ_BillsFan Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 It's a shame this team has to worry like this about QB. They have a great defense and RB. They bring in Mason. I really wouldn't be surprised if they go 6-10. Boller will be a career backup for the rest of his playing days.

CoachChuckDickerson Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 ....the Ravens released wide receiver Patrick Johnson. get er dunnnnnnnnn TD!!!!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 1) Patrick Johnson still plays in the NFL? 2) Something is messed up when Kordy's not in the league and Todd Collins is. I wish very badly that Trent Green has to miss a game or two so we can laugh and laugh at the play of Collins.
