RuntheDamnBall Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 J-E-T-S. I never, never, never, never root for the Dolphins. The fact that they have a win and the Jets don't makes it even simpler. The Jets may/should be the better team and thus the enemy in our sights, but I just don't hate them like I do the 'Fins. As an aside, as I was making my way to McFadden's last week a Jets fan passed me and my wife, yelling "Screw the Bills," "we're going 12-4," "You guys suck" and we exchanged some fun heckling/banter. It was even sweeter at the end of the day.
rockpile Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I'll root for the Bills. Who cares about anyone else? If the Bills take care of their own business, then it does not matter what happens to the other teams. 440159 killjoy!
RkFast Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I'll root for the Dolphins when they play the Nazis.
nick in* england Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I also went with the Jests, but in the long run I think a win byt the stinkin' fish this weekend might be better for the Bills' playoff hopes. Really, a 0-0 tie would be ideal. 440129 actually a 45-45 tie would be preferable
nick in* england Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I'll cheer for the Iraqi Military before rooting for the Fish. 440191 Puhlease... The Iraqi military are doing a good job of restoring democracy to a troubled nation. I think you mean to say insurgent Iraqi militia...
duey Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 as always.. i root for the stadium to explode. or a tie. 440131 Easy there big fella...I'm going to be in the building that day. Let it explode during the Pats game.
KRC Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 killjoy! 440213 Worrying about whether the jest or fins win is admitting that you have no confidence in the Bills getting the job done. Worry about the Bills first, jest and fins last.
JAMIEBUF12 Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 a tie and lots of injuries in a low scoring affair go bills in"05
Phlegm Alley Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I voted Dolphins because I think that the Dolfellons have no chance of making it to the [layoffs in the long run--the Jets on the other hand, I would be worried about them hurting our chances later in the season but this would give the Jets a divisional loss and would seriously hurt their chances down the road (as we experienced last year) and I feel Germ Edwards will implode under NY based media scrutiny from various outlets and he will get canned after they have a 7-9 season (but we'll save that for another thread). Go Fins, hope Jests falter early and the Fins falter later.
Gambler Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Silly question... Squish and fish go so well together... 440120 Diarrhea or constipation?
dib Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 for some reason fish fans have this false sense of optimism! I would love to see that crushed on sunday! 440122 Listening to the radio here you would get the impression the Felons have already won Sunday and are headed for the superbowl. Oddly there are a lot of BRAND NEW Dolphin shirts showing up around town.
Bill from NYC Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I'll root for the Bills. Who cares about anyone else? If the Bills take care of their own business, then it does not matter what happens to the other teams. 440159 I totally disagree. The jests have twice as much talent as the phish. They have a much better chance of being in the playoff hunt than do the phish. An 0-2 start with a divisional (home) loss would be potentially devestating to the jests, or at the very least matter in a tie-breaker. Brother, stick to your presidential campaign.
Bill from NYC Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 actually a 45-45 tie would be preferable 440219 No, because points and divisional points constitute tie-breakers, no?
BuckeyeBill Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Since my hatred for both teams are about equal... I have to base my opinion on January. Which team will be fighting with Buffalo for a wild card spot (assuming NE wins the division). No way to I see Miami winning 9-11 games. Not going to happen. The Jets on the other hand, very likely. Here's hoping Miami wins on Sunday, the Jets start 0-2 and finish the year 8-8, out of playoff contention. If Miami starts 2-0, I still think that 8-8 is the BEST that they can hope to do.
Taro T Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 J-E-S-T J-E-S-T JEST - JEST - JEST I ain't rooting for them. I'm rooting AGAINST the Fish. Dave.
ans4e64 Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 we should all root for the jets since we are tied right now with miami 1-0. if miami wins then they will be 2-0 and might be tied again with us if we beat TB. But we want the jets to win because both teams will then be 1-1
Mark Long Beach Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I'm sad because now one of them HAS to win. Much rather see them both pounded into salt.
Nick in RaChaCha Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I think I am rooting for the Jets 440116 It will be a cold dark day in hell before I root for the Phins
KRT88 Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 The Dolphins can't contend this year so another loss for the J E T S, jets, jets, jets would help the Bills out. I'm thinking down the orad as much as I hate the fins. Plus I'd like to see Miami avoid the #1 pick!
XNorthBuffaloLad Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 This one's a no-brainer J ... E .... T .... S .... JETS .... JETS ... JETS !
