Wiz Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 The last time we played Tampa, a Tampa o-lineman had a dirty hit on Cowart that knocked him out of the game with a high ankle sprain. The hit ended his season, thus ending the Bills chances. Does anybody remember who the SOB was? Besides the fact that I don't like Jon Gruden, I'm looking for another reason to dislike them.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 That Tampa game was the turning point in that season. We lost Cowart and a bunch of other stars to injury, leading to a poor 8-8 finish, I believe. I think if we had won that game and not gotten so banged up, we would have made the playoffs. One fond memory of that game, however, is the Bills sacking Shaun King on four straight plays.
SilverNRed Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Less important but still very lame was Warren Sapp's knocking over the Gatorade cups on our bench. Classy guy. Then again, what would you expect from maybe the most overrated player in NFL history?
Pete Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I remember in that Tampa game there was a series where Cowart had a sack on first, second, and third downs. He was amazing that year
Wiz Posted September 14, 2005 Author Posted September 14, 2005 Thanks for the info. It was a total hit job. Cowart already had 2 1/2 sacks and was dominant. Few of those players are left, but I still hate them.
