RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 You should hear what people in Philly think of David Akers for missing two from beyond 40 inside a dome last night..... Lest we think that accurate distance kickers are a dime a dozen. Go Bills!
eSJayDee Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 I think they both were from like 49 yds, too. Those goal posts look mighty small from that distance. I saw the 2nd one & it was a nice looking kick; just missed by a couple feet or so. From that distance, they certainly aren't gimmes. I'd say you're good if you manage 50% from there, which means you'll still miss both 25% of the time.

It is funny, since rationally we all know that a figgie from that distance is extremely missable, but we also want our kickers to be perfect...
Mile High Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 Anyone see the Baltimore game the other night? That kicker will be gone by the end of the week.
