slothrop Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Paul Hamilton states in the article that McGahee has repeatedly stated to him over the summer that he will do whatever is asked of him. The article speculates that the report came out of Sout Florida as an incentive for the Bills to trade him to Miami. WGR Says Report is BS!
BillsFanNC Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Well if WGR says it is BS, then maybe it is true......
billsfanone Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 I can't stand that hte sports media is interested more in the drama surrounding sports than sports itself.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Watch the NFL.com interview they had with him on Monday. He specifically says that he'll come in whenever the Bills want him to, and he has no problem giving Henry a breather when he needs it. Compare that with the unverified report from an unknown source today. Hmmm...I think i'll trust when McGahee said in person to what he might have said according to Mr. Deep Throat.
stevestojan Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 So, the AP, ESPN.com, and CBS Sportsline say its true, but "WGR, NewsRadio 55", a local AM station says its not, and who do we believe? You guys crack me up sometimes. Happy hour in T-minus 20 minutes.

Mission accomplished. They can get a whole lot more mileage out of this thing before it dies during the regular season. But people keep eating it up. Funny!!!! Bon Appetite
todd Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 So, the AP, ESPN.com, and CBS Sportsline say its true, but "WGR, NewsRadio 55", a local AM station says its not, and who do we believe? Actual comments from Willis himself and the Buffalo Bills contradict those statements. Think what you want, spin it how you want, but the evidence is clear. I'd rather listen to Willis himself rather than "sources".
bobblehead Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 So, the AP, ESPN.com, and CBS Sportsline say its true, but "WGR, NewsRadio 55", a local AM station says its not, and who do we believe? I would believe "WGR, NewsRadio 55" and the local AM station. Thanks.
theesir Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 So, the AP, ESPN.com, and CBS Sportsline say its true, but "WGR, NewsRadio 55", a local AM station says its not, and who do we believe? Hamilton has talked to McGahee and the Bills directly. I don't care if it is on a local station I tend to believe the party involved over an "unnamed source". It may just be me, but I think this is a story that has been started based upon a rumor on that a**hole Mike Florio's website this morning. Reporting something does not make it true!!!

ESPN never said it was “true”, they said that the AP is reporting than an anonymous source is saying it’s true. In your world that might be the same thing, but in reality it’s not. You must have stevestojan for brains! (I'm sorry, it was too easy).

Jukester Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Everyone just settle down. Nothing WM has said to this point even hinted at dissatisfaction with his status on this team. At most it's a ploy by Rosenhaus to bring more attention to his client. He's been doing this since draft day.
soljc Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 It's really incredible how the media is constantly looking to start trouble. I just watched ESPN's Sportscenter followed by NFL Live, both of which spent a good 5-10 minutes talking about how TO snubbed the Ravens and Ray Lewis. Among the ridiculousness they asked was, "Do you think Ray Lewis will go out of his way to exact any payback on TO tonight?"
Lori Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Newsflash, Mr. Rosenhaus: your client is under contract in Buffalo through at least 2006. What's that, DR? You thought for sure Donahoe would trade Travis Henry, just so your client could make those incentives for starts/carries/yards? Oops.

Say goodbye to your EX-client, Willis McGahee.
